Scuba Diving

So now that I've been to a few classes, I've come to the conclusion that I LOVE SCUBA DIVING! It is like being an astronaut only underwater. Here are some pictures of my instructor and I.
I loved it so much! If you ever get the chance to try scuba diving, I suggest you overcome any fears you may have and just do it. I have several anxiety disorders, a fear of water, and a fear of feeling restricted and I overcame all of these in the water. So get out there and overcome your fears! You never know what you will find that you like.

My quote of the day

I struggled a lot with anxiety today. I'm currently in-between meds (ugh) and it's been difficult to deal with my emotions. I actual saw an interesting statistic today that made me think to start posting again. According to the Anxiety and depression Association of America, "Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older (18% of U.S. population)." So I know there is someone out there that this can help.

I saw this tattoo on Pinterest today (totally obsessed with both, by the way).

It reminded me that although I have my problems--just like everyone else--I don't have to become victim to them. I can rise up, kick them in the balls, and say "I'm a fighter."

I thought this could help strengthen anyone going through anything--not that you have to have it tattood on you or anything. :)

So that was my inspirational thought of the day. Thanks for reading!

New Blog!

Hey guys!
I've neglected my blog for far too long so I'm going to start again. (Yay me!) I've recently deleted all my old posts, in the spirit of the new year. But I've got more exciting things to share anyway, like I start scuba diving lessons on Wednesday and I start school up again tomorrow. I will definitely be talking about my scuba experience for those of you who are curious to try it.

I've also picked up painting, but don't expect to see me post those. I am really terrible at it.

On another note, my blog will also be about my years long struggle with anxiety and depression, how I manage it, and encourage anyone who has these disorders as well.

Anyway, I'm, super excited to start my new blog! Let me know if there is more of something you want to see or you have questions. You can also connect with me on Google+.
